Enjoy the atmosphere of the ancient capital! A memorable day with our guests
We received an order for a Koedo Kawagoe tour using a jumbo cab and wagon cab. The day was spent fully enjoying the charms of Kawagoe, including Kita-in Temple and the streets of warehouses.
Feel the breath of the ancient capital, Kita-in Temple
First, we will visit Kita-in Temple, an ancient temple of the Tendai sect of Buddhism. There are many highlights of the temple, including the National Treasure Taho-to (pagoda), Niomon Gate (an important cultural property), and the main hall. One of the guests commented, "It is much larger than I had imagined, and I can feel the history. While strolling in the precincts of the temple, visitors enjoyed a relaxing time in the tranquility of the temple.
A townscape of warehouses where time seems to have stopped
Next, we will visit a townscape of warehouses that retain the atmosphere of the Edo period. Lined with stately storehouse-style merchant houses, it was like stepping back in time. Visitors enjoyed searching for souvenirs as they strolled through old-fashioned confectionary stores and general merchandise stores.
